It is with deepest regret that we announce that Chauncy ridden by Suzy Elliott collapsed while competing in the Advanced division at The Event at Rebecca Farm in Kalispell, Montana on Saturday July 24th. Suzy Elliott is a Canadian who lives in Yelm, Washington with her husband and co-owner of the horse, Jon Elliott.

The 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding Chauncy collapsed at fence #16A and after Suzy had dismounted. There was a full paramedic and veterinary team present with moments of the collapse. Chauncy was taken to LaSalle Veterinary Hospital in Kalispell where it was revealed in the necropsy that the horse had experienced a cardiac hemorrhage.
